      There were  awards given to some very special people too.  The Oldest Women awards went to 96 year old Peaches Bakely,  Marguerite Sherman and Mildred Dayer.  The men who received the honors were Clyde Atkinson and Ralph Anderson and Frank Cooper.  The couples who had been married the longest, with over 60 years of durability were Joe and Carol Pignatelli and Ray and Lavora Carroll.  Traveling the farthermost to attend the reunion were Elaine Draper who came from Hawaii, Jerry Crabb from Florida and Carolyn Betcher Talley from Minnesota.  Those who had attended all 24 annual reunions were Verna Lee Bost, Olga Puhn, Marguerite Sherman and Marcella Williams.  For the grand finally when it came to the largest family in attendance,  Edna Carriender-Koun's clan won hands down with 25 members present.        - SEE WHO ATTENDED ON PAGE 4 -

  We need mini Christmas lights for our church steeple with WHITE CORDS.  Last year, when our church got it's spanking new paint job, the mini-lights around the steeple and front door were destroyed. If you have some, please donate them to the Historical Society so our steeple can be lit up once again. Thanks!
