Archives Nuggets
Elaine Brack
Time for the Archives Nuggets is really moving along. All the team has been so busy with all the changes and updating within the Archives themselves.
We recently had inquiries from two fellas, one is doing an article in the Amtrak published magazine regarding the trains to Foster. On the train front stand some of the ladies of the era. He chose this picture because the article is about women who were involved with trains. Besides that, next month is Women's Month . . . we will share the article when it comes to us in Lakeside.
The other gentleman is trying to put together a book about the before and now of Lakeside. This small book is coming along and when it comes out we will let you know.
Most recently the Society received maps of the actual train tracks from down town San Diego to Foster. Come by and see them, this is a special gift from a gentleman who lives here in Lakeside. Until next time . . .
