ROBERT EARL "SHORTY" HARRISON, 70
Robert Hanison was born July 8, 1934, in Pauls Valley, Ok1ahoma., formerly of Lakeside, died January 29, 2005. He was born in Lakeside and was a retired operating engineer. He also worked for the Lakeside Volunteer Fire Department. He served in the Air Force during the Korean War.
Robert's father, Edward Harrison, was Lakeside's First Volunteer and Fire Chief for many years.
Survivors include his daughters, Terri and Sue Harrison of Pauls Valley, Ok1ahoma; son, Robert Harrison of Pauls Valley; sister, Norma Rodriguez of Lakeside; brother, Ernie Harrison of Lakeside; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Services have been held.

FREDRICK WILLIAM GRUNER, 85
Fred, the son of Carl and Elizabeth Gruner, was born in Cedar Rapids, Iowa on January 23, 1920; and passed away February 8, 2005 He received his primary education in Iowa and Ohio, and served in the 173rd Air Liaison Squadron during WWII. After receiving an Honorable discharge he resided in California where he continued a higher education.
He met his wife Dolores in Colorado, and they have three children -Dorothy, Charlotte and Carl.
Fred was active in political affairs and an avid student of religions and loved classical music and Tennessee Ernie Ford. He helped sponsor several youth programs and was an enthusiastic participant of the VFW National Home. He was preceded in death by his parents Carl and Elizabeth and his brother Robert.
Surviving members of his family are wife Dolores, his children Dorothy Howell, Charlotte Misch, and Carl Gruner, his daughter-in-law Dawn Gruner, his five grandchildren and spouses, Neil Howell, Lori & David Dennett, Garon & Lora Gruner, Wendell & Derek Misch, and great-grandchild, Colton Gruner.
