Preservation is our job!  With that in mind I have some distressing news to tell you.  The Manhattan Playhouse, formerly Lakeside Theater and originally our Old Town Hall, built in 1911 on Maine Avenue, is in need of a helping hand.  Due to the heavy rains we received this year, this poor old building has a bad leakage problem.  The old roof is in dyer need of repair and the walls have been damaged.
  What can we do to save and preserve this Lakeside landmark.  It is important to the history of our community.  We need your help, if you have any suggestions on how we can raise funds to get this roof and damage repaired, we want to hear from you.  Just call me at 443-1133 or leave a message at the History Center at 561-1886.  We need your help on this one,  thanks!
