Can You Identify These Men?

This picture was taken in the late 1940's at the Lakeside Racetrack near Channel Road.  We know that the gentleman in the center is none other than the one and only Ed Harrison.  But, who are the other two men?  If you know, please leave a message at the History Center for Marcella Williams at 619.561.1886.  Or, you can send her an e-mail at info@lakesidehistory.org.

"I Love A Clean Lakeside"

Just a reminder that the Lakeside Chamber of Commerce is sponsoring their annual "I Love a Clean Lakeside" program.  This year it will be run a bit different. You can pick up a voucher at the Chamber office or Community Center.  This voucher will get you a FREE DUMP at the Waste Management collection site on Bradley Avenue in El Cajon.  The voucher is good for a Saturday of your choice, but you do have to know your dump date when you pick up your voucher -- that is your reservation.
Please pass this information along to other Lakesiders, especially the messy ones.  You could even pick up a flyer and put it in the mailboxes of those really bad neighbors . . . maybe they would take the hint.
