Lakeside Theater Memories

As a small boy, I think it must have been in the late 40's, I remember going to the theater and sometimes walked the highway where the Cork Elms provided a complete arbor, or archway, over it. I remember going with a quarter (25 cents) in my pocket and it was enough for: a. Entrance = 14 cents b. Popcorn = 10 cents c. Penny Candy.
Mrs. Kersave usually manned the ticket booth, the son ran the projector and the twin daughters worked at confusing everyone at the candy booth. This was truly a bright spot in many of our lives, as we lived "way out in the sticks" (as some folks said) and there really wasn't much else to do.
