Lakeside Historical Society

BBQ Picnic

The LHS BBQ picnic which takes place on Saturday, June 21st will also offer a view of two historic buildings saved by the Lakeside Historical Society. Our hosts, Betty and Rod McMillen, moved and restored the 1926 cottage to their ranch where the picnic takes place. It was originally, the care takers cottage for Helix Water District's water pumping plant on El Monte Road. You will enjoy seeing its new life.
The other building you can view is the potting shed from the historic Lakeside Inn. It is in temporary storage at McMillen's ranch while waiting for a permanent site at the Heritage Village within the Lakeside River Park.

Come and enjoy a delicious lunch, play games, listen to music, visit with friends and see a bit of history too. Bring a friend!
