SHARON BRUNETTO, 54


  Sharon died March 25, 2005 at her home in El Cajon. Sharon helped organize the Lakeside Preservation Coalition to oppose the proposed shopping center for Ralph's store on Old Highway 80 near Flynn Springs. She was active in many other community events and on the board of Octad One Theatre in Lakeside. She was born in San Diego and graduated from El Cajon Valley High School.
  Survivors include her husband, Joe Brunette whose father opened Marechiaro's in Grossmont area in 1955, then moved in 1976 to El Cajon on the border of Lakeside.  Other survivors include her daughter, Anna Brunette of El Cajon; sons, Jake and Ben Brunetto and other family members.

HUNTER H. RUSH, 87


  Hunter, of Oceanside, died March 17, 2005. He was born in Norfolk, Virginia.
  Survivors include his daughter, Linda Johnson, of Santee, sons; David Rush of Petaluma and Steven Rush of Montrose, Colorado., 3 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. No services were planned.
  Donations are directed to San Diego Hospice, 4311 Third Avenue, San Diego 92103.
  Arrangements: Telophase Cremation Society.
 

WILMA KUHN


  Wilma was Lakeside Historical Society's life member #367. Memorial service will be held at Lakeside Community Presbyterian Church on Channel Road.

MARIAN E. SPRINGER, 83


  Marian was born June 21, 1921 in San Jacinto and died in Escondido March 23, 2005. She was a homemaker and a volunteer for the Grossmont Hospital Auxiliary and a Life Member #307 of the Lakeside Historical Society.
  Survivors include her daughters, Marcia Beishline of Jackson and Natalie Mates of Escondido; four grandchildren and two great grandchildren. No services were planned.

FRIEDA L. SUTTON, 86


  Frieda was born December 4, 1918 in Arnold, Neb. to Ella and Lester Lewis. She succumbed to cancer on January 10, 2005.
  She was married to Clarence J. Sutton on February 10, 1937 and moved to California the same year. They purchased the Lakeside Cleaners from Tom and Serene

White, which was in the Arcade building at the time, later moving across Maine Street to one of the newly constructed Ted Maniscalco buildings which were built in 1949.
  They were active members of the Lakeside Optimist Club, Chamber of Commerce and other civic organizations. They retired in 1977 and moved to Hemet to be near their family in 1988.  She enjoyed traveling and doing activities in her Hemet Mobile Park. She was a member of the United Methodist Church.
  Clarence preceded her in death in 1990. Her son, Barry and his wife Linda survive her; 3 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren and 8 great, great grandchildren also survive.  Frieda and Clarence were both Life Members of the Lakeside Historical Society, #172 and #173.
